Owned and operated by certified professional dog trainer, behavior consultant, and agility competitor, Mallory Hazell, The Canine Scholar is one of Edmonton's most reputable dog training companies. Mallory has a research-based Master of science degree and previously worked as a professional biologist. As the name suggests, the company is deeply rooted in animal behavior and canine psychology research. Mallory completed a science-based Dog Behavior and Training Methodology (DBTM) program and Veterinary Behavorist, Dr. Ian Dunbar's, SIRIUS Dog Trainer Academy. She has taken numerous courses in psychology, ethics, ethology, animal behavior, wildlife ecology, vertebrate ecology, domestication, learning theory, canine cognition, animal husbandry, and canine nutrition/fitness. She is an an extremely talented trainer, and one of Edmonton's most educated and knowledgble behavior consultants. She loves training complex tricks and has been deamed someone-to-watch on the Canadian agility stage.
